Drum Motor mounting method　　

First, the Drum Motor can only be mounted horizontally, parallel to the reversing drum and perpendicular to the conveyor frame at any time. All Drum Motor must be fully supported and fastened to the conveyor frame, and the shaft end must not be deformed. Both ends of the shaft must be fully supported on the support.

Second, the mounting bracket must be strong enough to withstand the Drum Motor belt tension and its starting torque. They must be sufficiently supported and fastened to the conveyor frame so that the shaft ends do not move or deform. The shaft end must always be fully supported by the bracket. The shaft clearance between the shaft and the mounting bracket must be 1.0mm, and the torsional clearance between the shaft and the mounting bracket shall not exceed 0.4mm.

Drum Motor installation precautions

During the installation of the Drum Motor, special attention should be paid to the following point: the Drum Motor marked with the word "UP" on the end of the shaft should be installed with the word "UP" facing upward (in order to ensure adequate lubrication of the gear), otherwise excessive noise, overheating of the Drum and complete damage of the Drum Motor will be caused.

TM80A, TM113A and TM138 Drum Motor tilt Angle should not exceed 2°; TM165, TM216 and TM270 Drum Motor tilt Angle should not exceed 5°!

Otherwise, because the internal cooling lubricating oil is concentrated on one end, the gear can not be fully lubricated, the heat of the Motor can not be cooled, and long-term operation will lead to the damage of the Drum Motor.
